Biography
Born in 1947 in Moscow. In 1971 he graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute , and later graduated from the KGB Higher School . He worked as an engineer at Moscow enterprises of the defense complex, including in the space industry, and was engaged in the development of spacecraft docking systems.
He was elected as a deputy of the district Council (1975-1982), a deputy of the Moscow Soviet (1977-1980).
Since 1981, he served in the state security organs of the USSR . He served as First Deputy Head of the Office of the FSB of Russia in Moscow and the Moscow Region . In July-August 2000, the head of the department. He participated in operations to combat the illegal supply of weapons and drugs, to introduce operational officers into gangs, and headed the counter-terrorism units.
In 2000-2007 - Head of the Academy of the FSB of Russia [1] .
He was buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery .
