Tractor self-propelled chassis (often the word tractor is discarded, converse. - chassis ) is a commercially produced motorized vehicle made on the basis of tractor units and assemblies .
Tractor self-propelled chassis is divided into universal and special.
Content
Universal self-propelled chassis
Universal self-propelled chassis is a type of wheeled tractor.
Design Features
The self-propelled chassis differs from an ordinary tractor in its layout: the motor is compactly located behind the cab , and in front of the cab there is an open frame and a front axle. The frame is usually double-girded, rarely one-girded. The frame attaches various mounted agricultural or special equipment, in the basic configuration - a dump truck body. Due to the fact that the equipment is located in front of the cabin, it is clearly visible and its operation is easy to manage. Control of mounted implements is performed using a hydraulic system. Equipment for a universal self-propelled chassis is usually fast-mounted. The attachment is carried out by the consumer.
As a rule, a significant part of the assemblies and parts of the self-propelled chassis is unified with a wheeled universal tractor with similar characteristics.
Application
The long frame allows the use of a wide range of special tools and tools. The most famous applications:
In agriculture:
- in greenhouses and on livestock farms indoors;
- when working with sprayers;
- when working with mounted harvesters (usually vegetable-harvesting);
- on tea , tobacco and berry plantations (special modification with high ground clearance ).
In forestry:
- when working with forestry machines.
In public utilities and road repair services:
- pavement and snow removal machines;
- road marking machines;
- repair machines with a compressor for pneumatic tools .
- welding units;
In warehouses:
- loaders ;
- lifts (modification with a shortened frame).
Manufacturers and models
Kharkov factory of tractor self-propelled chassis (HZTSSh)
Projects were developed in the city of Kharkov in a special design office for tractor self-propelled chassis.
- DSSH-14 ; (unified with tractor DT-14 )
- DVSSh-16 ; - differs from DSSH-14 by installing a more powerful air-cooled engine.
- T-16, T-16M, T-16MG ;
- School-28, School-28A, School-28T;
- US-2540, is a further development of the model T-16. A modification with an improved cab unified with a UMZ-6 tractor was developed.
Vladimir Motor Tractor Works (VMTZ, formerly VTZ)
- supplied engines for the Kharkov factory of tractor self-propelled chassis
- VTZ-30 SSh, unified with the tractor VTZ-2O32, currently available.
Foreign manufacturers
In Germany, self-propelled chassis were massively manufactured at the Fendt plant since 1953. The first model had a 12 hp engine . and received wide acclaim.
- Fendt F345GT
Special self propelled chassis
Special tractor self-propelled chassis are designed and manufactured for work in the composition of certain units. They can be both wheeled and tracked. Equipment on a special self-propelled chassis is hung by the manufacturer of this equipment and is delivered to the consumer in the form of a finished machine.
In the USSR in the early 1970s, the Taganrog head design bureau for combines and self-propelled chassis developed a number of special wheeled self-propelled chassis SS-40 , SS-75 Taganrozec , SS-100, SS-150 using T-40 tractor units, MTZ-80 , DT-75 M, T-150 . These chassis were intended for installation on them of various types of combines. The SS-75 "Taganrozhets" was launched into serial production at the Taganrog combine plant in 1965 [1] . For seven years, this plant produced 20,714 self-propelled chassis copies [1] .
The Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant based on the T-100 , T-130 and T-170 tractors produced self-propelled tracked chassis for earth-moving machines: canal diggers , plowing machines, cable-laying machines, tractor cranes, etc. These chassis had several modifications that differed in engine and cab relative to the chassis parts: front or side.
On the basis of tractors T-150K and K-700 , self-propelled chassis were also created. For attachment of cars used extended rear half frame.
