Skyguard-Sparrow is a medium-range anti-aircraft missile system , using the air-to-air modification of the American AIM-7 Sparrow class as a missile defense system . Developed by the Swiss company Oerlikon Contraves AG .
The creation work was carried out on the basis of a computerized Erlikon GDF-005 anti-aircraft gun from the late 70s of the 20th century. The complex has been repeatedly upgraded.
