The role of Eusebio Kino , a well-known Jesuit missionary and researcher of the beginning of the 18th century, in the Ken Kennedy film “The History of Padre Kino” (1977) became unusual for the actor’s career.
Egan was Rod Searling's first choice for the narrator in The Twilight Zone because of his distinctive voice. However, the terms of the contract got in the way, and Serling himself became a storyteller, so as not to choose another actor instead of Richard Egan.
