Brandon Small ( born Brendon Small ) is an American stand-up comedian, voice actor, director, screenwriter, composer and musician. Born February 15, 1975 in Springfield, Illinois. He is best known as the author of the animated series " Home Video " and " Metallokalips " . Creator of the virtual death metal band Dethklok .

Training
Brandon started playing guitar at the age of 14. It took him 10 years to study to overcome the stage fright. [one]
Small graduated from Palm High School in Salinas, California, combined music education at Berkeley College of Music (graduated in 1997) and comedy education at Emerson College.
Brandon spoke at The Comedy Studio on Harvard Square when he was noticed by Lauren Bouchard, who was casting the main character for a new project, which later became the cartoon “ Home Video ”.
Career
" Home Video"
Brandon's first job (with Loren Bouchard). He was a co-creator, scriptwriter, composer and voiced a couple of characters in this animated series. " Home video " in Russia was broadcast on 2x2 channel. Premiere of the first series - April 26, 1999. The final series was shown on April 4, 2004 (premiere in the USA).
The animated series about a 9-year-old boy named Brandon Small, who makes films with his friends Melissa and Jason.
It turned out 4 seasons. The project is finished.
Metallopocalypse
The next television project Small (with Tommy Blachey), as a co-producer, composer, co-author and voice actor. The premiere of the animated series took place on August 6, 2006 on Adult Swim.
Metallopocalypse tells the story of the life of the world famous and most popular death metal band Dethklok .
4 seasons and the 40-minute animated rock opera The Doomstar Requiem . Adult Swim is not planning season 5, despite the desire of Brandon to finish the animated series.

During his career, Brandon often takes part in stand-ups and comedy shows. In The Steve Allen Theater and The Baked Potato. He was one of the hosts (along with Ron Lynch and Craig Anton) The Tommorow Show - a weekly musical and comedy show.

Own label
In 2012, Small released the solo album Brendon Small`s Galaktikon on his personal label, BS Records . He financed the album himself, and used all the profits from the album to pay for the future project - the album Dethklok The Doomstar Requiem, which he released on his label (usually Dethklok albums came out on Williams Street Records), because Small wants to be sure that Dethklok will still be releasing new albums. [3] He explained that if he had not done this, Dethalbum III could have been the last album of the band. Small explained that the only way to save Dethklok music is personal investment, regardless of whether it is financially beneficial for him. [3]
Personal life
Brandon Small lives in Los Angeles. He had Ernie the dog, with the participation of which all the albums of the Dethklok group (breed - Weimaraner ) were recorded, but he died in January 2014. [4] Brandon started a new dog - Hilda (of the same breed).
Small Lithuanian origin. He married Courtney Bates on May 3, 2014.
