The emblem of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is the official symbol of the President of the Russian Federation as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation . Established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev dated May 5, 2009 No. 502.

Regulation
The emblem is placed:
- on the insignia of the Supreme Commander,
- on letterheads and letters of thanks of the Supreme Commander,
- on the insignia established by him.
The emblem can be placed on documents, buildings and structures, vehicles and other property serving to ensure the activities of the President of the Russian Federation as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
The image of the emblem may be placed on printed, advertising, informational and souvenir products, as well as on film, video and photo materials devoted to the activities of the President of the Russian Federation as the Supreme Commander.
Description
The golden double-headed eagle , which raised its spread wings. The eagle is crowned with two small crowns and - above them - one large crown connected by a ribbon. The eagle sits on a horizontally located golden marshal's baton . The rod is decorated with green garlands of laurel leaves , golden double-headed eagles and four silver rings. On the eagle’s chest, in a red shield, is a silver rider in a blue cloak on a silver horse, striking with a silver spear a black overturned back and trampled by a dragon horse. The eagle is laid on a golden round laurel- oak wreath. The field inside the wreath is divided horizontally into three equal stripes: the upper one is white, the middle one is blue and the lower one is red.
The emblem can be made in a single color image.
