Alessandrini, Lorenza

Lorenza Alessandrini ( Italian: Lorenza Alessandrini , born August 6, 1990 , Milan , Italy) - French , formerly Italian figure skater , performing ice dancing with Simone Waturi (Italy). Together with him, she is the champion of Italy among juniors in 2009 and two-time bronze medalist of the national championships among adults.

Since 2014, has been playing for France in tandem with Pierre Suquet. With him, she is the vice champion of France in 2016 and the bronze medalist of 2017.

Career

Lorenza Alessandrini has long played for her homeland with Vanturi. With him, she did not achieve much success (three times won the bronze medals of the national championship) and in 2014 the couple broke up. Lorenz found a new partner in France and began to speak for this country. In December, at the national championship, the new couple took fourth place. In February, they made their international debut in the Bavarian Cup.

The French dancers began the new season in Obersdorf at the Nebelhorn tournament , where they were at the end of the standings [2] . The first medals (for second place) they won in October 2015 at the Nice Cup [3] . With a new partner, she confidently won silver medals in the championship of her new country in 2016 [4] . In late January, she made her debut in the European Championship for France. The couple performed well, they were among the finalists.

The French pre-Olympic season began in late September in Germany at the annual Nebelhorn tournament . Where they have not much improved their previous achievements in free dance and finished seventh. In mid-February, the couple performed in Obersdorf at the Bavarian Cup [7] , where French dancers took sixth place. In late March, the French skaters performed at the world championships in Helsinki , where they performed very unsuccessfully.

The French couple began the Olympic season in early October in Espoo , on the Trophy of Finland , their performance was not the most successful, they finished at the end of the tournament table. Also not very successful was a performance in mid-October at home in Nice on the City Cup , where the couple finished in the top ten. Athletes also performed unsuccessfully at the home stage of the Grand Prix , where they took last place [8] . A week later, the athletes took part in a tournament in the capital of Estonia, where they finished at the end of the top ten.
