History
"Nights of Nothing", 1996
Nothing Records became known, first of all, by recording Nine Inch Nails and Trent Reznor's protégé, Marilyn Manson . Other performers who have signed a contract with the label could not achieve such popularity and worldwide recognition as its founders did.
The studio often encouraged its fans through the Internet . For example, the label opened a free radio stream, which was compiled compiled by Nothing Records performers, their producers and fans .
In September 2004 , when Trent Reznor moved from New Orleans to the US West Coast, a sign appeared on the studio’s official website:

What clearly said about the termination of the life of the label . Thus, John Malm Junior hammered in not the last, but the strongest nine-inch nail in the coffin of the record studio. Nothing Records listeners speculated whether the information on the site was true, but the public received a comprehensive answer when Reznor sued the co-founder. Trent Reznor won the case, accusing the defendant of fraud and violation of the fiduciary duty [1] , suing him $ 2.95 million . As it turned out, the main participant NIN cheated when he signed a contract with an accountant. As a result, Malm received 20% of the total income of the studio, and not from the net proceeds, thereby leaving himself large deductions "for tea" [2] .
