Biography
Aidan Shener was born on March 1, 1963 in the small town of Kilis in southeast Turkey in the family of a musicologist and a housewife.
The paternal ancestors of Aidan were from Kazan [1] . In 1877 , not wanting to be baptized, her great-grandfather emigrated with her family. Then many Muslims, not wanting to accept Christianity, left their native places and moved to Turkey.
When Aidan Shener was still very young, her parents moved to Bursa , where she graduated from high school.
At eighteen, Aidan Shener won the Miss Turkey beauty pageant , and represented her country at the 1981 Miss World . But that time the crown went to Venezuelan Pilin Leon . After receiving the title "Miss Turkey", she successfully realized herself in the modeling business [2] . Also starred in commercials.
Soon made her film debut. The role of Feride in the series "The King - songbird" brought her world fame.
In 1983, Aidan Shener married Ayhan Akbin. At that time, he was a player in the Turkish national football team. Five years later, they had a daughter, Ecem . But in 1991, the couple divorced.
Film career
Aidan Shener became known for the role of Feride in the film adaptation of Reshad Nuri Gyuntekin ’s book “The Kinglet is a songbird . ” The novel was recognized as a world classic. The film was directed by Osman Seden .
Another famous actress film was the Milky Way . Aidan played the role of the main character Zyulal.
Then she played the role of the “ night butterfly ” Muallahani in “Branded Roses” (“'' Mühürlü güller ''”).
Mostly starred in dramatic and melodramatic series. As Aidan Shener herself admits: “Films are shot in Turkey, but not as much as we would like. We have a lot of professional, interesting actors, but in order to earn a living, they are forced to participate in some kind of television projects, to appear in commercials ” [1] .

Visiting Kazan
In June 2004, Aidan Shener, at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited Kazan . She flew to Russia with her father, who really wanted to see the land of his ancestors. The actress became a guest at the graduation party of students of the Tatar-Turkish lyceum, attended the opening of the international conference of the cities of the World Heritage of Eurasia, and also took part in the celebration of the national Tatar holiday Sabantuy [1] .
In 2007, the actress again visited Kazan . This time Aidan flew to the grand closing of the III International Muslim Film Festival Golden Minbar . Together with Mustafa Balchik, she presented the Special Prize of the international organization TURKSOY "for the reflection of the culture and traditions of the peoples of the Turkic world" to the director of the film "Babai" Albert Shakirov .
Aidan Shener responded about her arrival as follows: “I came to Kazan 3 years ago and am glad to come here again. This festival makes an important contribution to the development of cinema ” [3] .
