Properties
Soluble in ethanol and organic solvents ; it is poorly soluble in water, propylene glycol and glycerin .
The oxidation of anisic aldehyde produces anis acid .
Being in nature
It is found in small amounts in some essential oils , often with anethole .

Application
Applied as a component of perfume compositions, food essences, as a raw material for the production of fragrances ( anisyl acetate ), as well as in the synthesis of certain drugs.
Anisaldehyde bisulfite derivative is used to add shine to plating in electroplating.
