The district of Brno-suburb ( Czech. Okres Brno-venkov ) is one of the 7 districts of the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic . The administrative center is the city of Brno (not part of the district). Area - 1,498.95 sq. M. km., the population is 202,092 people. There are 187 municipalities in the district, of which 13 are cities, 10 are towns.

Geography
Located in the west of the central part of the region. Within the region, it borders on the Blansko districts in the north, Vishkov in the east, Breclav in the southeast, Znojmo in the southwest and Brno-city , which surrounds from all sides. In the west and north-west, it adjoins the regions of Trebic and Zdar nad Sazavou of the Vysočín Region.
