Cult
Under the conditions of religious syncretism, common in ancient Egypt, many Egyptians worshiped the god of light Ra on a par with their deities, as if endowing him with double power. Khnumu-Ra was worshiped in Elephantine , where the center of worship for the god Khnum was located .
Khnum was a Ba for Ra (its night form), so the New Year’s Day at the beginning of the Seeding season (prt) is also permissible to be perceived as Khnum-Ra’s birthday at dawn. The motif is clearly represented in a relief scene from Tutankhamen’s tomb : inside the figure of the mummy of Pharaoh there is a sun disc with a ramish-headed bird (= Khnum), symbolizing the night sun, which the watch gods pull out of the rope [1] .
During the New Year's rite of Egypt. ẖnm itn Khnum-Ra animated the statues of temple deities, including the statues of Khnum and Amon , and symbolically transferred power to Pharaoh. On the same day, the birthday of Pharaoh was also celebrated [1] .
