History
On October 29, 1998, the then-unknown group Svarga, who played avant-garde pagan rock, gave a concert at the Soyuz cinema (Malakhovka). At that time, Svarga included bassist Pasha “Morpheus” Grigoryev (gr. “Survival Factor”), guitarist Sasha “Yorik” and others. At the end of the concert, they met with producer and musician Dmitry Ogneev (Kamikadze with drinking buddies) , “Ejaculation under the arm”, “Figured Dryst”, etc.) and decided to organize a joint punk project, which was originally called “Mad Murzilki”, but a month later the new name of the group was approved - “Rubilovo-Drobilovo”, and after that , as the group was finally banned, it became n be called "ORE". By the middle of 1999, the musicians had completely abandoned traditional punk, and under the influence of their activities in the NBP decided to create a new type of project, to become a fully politicized group that advocates the ideas of National Bolshevism . So there was a "Gulag."
The first acoustic concerts at the headquarters of the NBP and Labor Russia , as well as at numerous rallies and indoor venues, were received by the audience with a bang. Around the group, there was its own musical and political movement "Rock Counter-Revolution", conceived as a Moscow alternative to the Siberian " Russian Breakthrough ". In the summer of 2000, the team began recording their first studio album, “To Kill,” consisting of Yegor Azonov (the group “Wolf Gat”), Dmitry Ogneev, Anton Kravchuk (the group “Young Guard”, “Big Light”, “Spindle”) and Pasha Grigoryev . By the will of circumstances and the ideological disagreement of the musicians, the album was written for a whole year, and was released only in 2004 after the appearance of the producer in the person of NSTK .
In the autumn of the same year, the administration of the Mars cinema forbade the group to warm up the Civil Defense . On May 1, 2001, the band’s concert in the basement of the Art Center ends in riots, after which the musicians again find themselves on the “black list” of extremist rock groups. In 2001-2003 the group is forced to limit its activities to apartment owners and studio work, a large number of demo recordings appear. In 2004, after the departure of D. Ogneev and E. Azonov, old musicians returned to the NTSC to work permanently. As part of Pasha Grigoriev, Sasha "Yorika", drummer Tyoma "Kipisha" the group gives a number of concerts in the capital, but in 2005, after another split, it ceases to exist. During this period, Pasha Grigoryev recorded a number of acoustic albums at the AIR studio and his own home studio, and a new project “ Morpheus and Companions ” also appears.
Nevertheless, the public’s interest in “Gulag” is not decreasing, and in 2008 , by the decade of the group, it was reanimated. Three new albums are being recorded: “Let Blood Spill”, “Time for Heroes Does Not Wait” and “Extremism”, which include well-known songs and never before performed material.
May 8, 2010 Pasha Morpheus married.
November 9, 2010 the drummer of the band Artem Kachalin is tragically killed. After the death of the drummer, the band broke up.
