Wallenstein ( German: Wallenstein ) is the common name for the 1799 dramatic trilogy of Friedrich Schiller .

It consists of a “Wallenstein Camp” with a long prologue , “Piccolomini” and “Death of Wallenstein” and is based on historical events surrounding the death of the famous commander Albrecht von Wallenstein .
The action takes place in 1633 - 1634 , that is, 16 years after the outbreak of the Thirty Years' War in the Bohemian city of Pilsen , where Wallenstein is located with his army, as well as in Eger , where Wallenstein flees and dies.
