The Twelfth South American Championship was held in Buenos Aires ( Argentina ) from November 1 to 17, 1929 . The 1928 championship was postponed due to the participation of the national teams of Chile , Uruguay and Argentina at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam ( Netherlands ), where Uruguay and Argentina won gold and silver, respectively.
