Title
As the musicians themselves say, “Kroda” is an Old Russian word meaning “smoke of a funeral pyre”. When the fallen soldiers were burned, it was believed that their soul was carried away with smoke into the heavenly halls of the gods. This smoke was a kind of conductor to the Family . We should also mention the god of fire treb on the temples - Krodo and the same root word from Sanskrit "Kroda" (anger, rage) [1] .
History
2003
The group was founded in March 2003 by two musicians who already had at that time their own experience in participating in a number of other projects. Then Eisenslav and Viterzgir decided to combine their desire to play Black Metal with elements of European folk music and a pagan concept. From May to October of the same year, the debut album "Cry me, Rіchko ..." was recorded.
2004
The publication of the cassette version "Cry me, Richko ..." in the spring on Rarog Prods. During the summer, the group recorded a mini-album "Legend: Mak Tsvіte". “Cry me, Richko ...” was released by the German label Hammermark Art on CD at the end of the year.
2005
The release of the concept mini-album “Legend: Mac Tsvіte” on Stellar Winter in the form of a split with Oprich . This release not only strengthened the success of the debut album, but also opened up new musical abilities of the team, presenting to the audience, in addition to the already traditional folk / black metal atmospheric ambient passages. From January to April, the second full-length record was recorded, which was called "Until Short Life", and was published on Ancient Nation, first on cassettes, and then in the CD version. The album was also published on Hammermark Art . The material of the album clearly testified to the fact that since the debut album a lot of work has been done, which made it possible to take such a confident step forward. The sound became more powerful and heavy, the compositions were structurally more developed, and the unforgettable color of the sound was given by the abundance of folk instruments, to which this time drimba and trembita were added.
There is a re-release of “Cry for Men, Richko ...” on Patriot Prods.
2006
For the split with Velimor , the mini-album “Hammer to the Spirit of the Universe of Blood” was recorded and published on Stellar Winter . Minik Krody also included a cover on Burzum (Jesu Tod), which is considered to be one of the best interpretations of the heritage of Varg Vikernes . But the main advantage of the release is undoubtedly the title track - the manifesto of Slavic Unity performed jointly with Velimor . Work has begun on a new full-length format, Sonsya's Funeral.
2007
The recording of the third album is over, and Sonsya 's Funeral was published on Hammermark Art . This release has become the most furious and frosty, while possessing a completely unique melody that is only consonant with the roar of a fierce snowstorm.
Together, Hammermark Art and Neue Aestethic "Cry me, Rіchko ..." is published on vinyl. There is a set of session musicians for the band’s concert composition, and it looks like this:
- Aizenslav - vocals, harp , trembita , horn
- Withersgier - guitar , vocals, flute , ocarina , harp , trembita , horn , percussion
- Beralb - bass
