Iglesias played the role of the author or co-author of each track on the album. Initially, the album was to be released under the name “Don't Turn Off The Light”. The writing of many songs used the same technique as in “Don't Turn Off The Light”. Also this track was supposed to be the first single from the album. For the album many songs were recorded that were not included in the album. One of them is “Baby Hold On”.

Release and Certification

The album debuted on the 2nd place on the Billboard chart - the best result for Iglesias on the chart. In the first week, about 270 thousand copies of the album were sold out. After the single “ Hero ” took 1st place in the UK, Iglesias became the first Latin American singer, whose album and single took 1st in this country. The album also became the second best-selling in the UK in 2002, giving up the first place to Robbie Williams 's album “ Escapology ”. It is also considered the best-selling album in Australia.

The album was well received throughout the world. In the UK, the album was certified as three times platinum, in America as four times platinum, in Ireland as five times platinum, six times platinum in Canada, five times platinum in Australia, three times platinum in India, twice platinum in Germany. The album also received gold and platinum status in many countries around the world.

The total circulation of the album sales is 10 million copies. The album is the most commercially successful album of Iglesias.
