Biography
Born in 1960 in Moscow .
In 1983 he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and was appointed to the diplomatic service at the USSR Embassy in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan in the same year.
From 1987 to 1990 he worked as a senior assistant, attache of the department / administration of the countries of the Middle East of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs [1] .
From 1990 to 1997, he worked as the third (later - second and first) secretary at the embassy of the USSR / Russia in Iran .
From 1997 to 2000, he was an adviser, head of the Iranian department in the Third Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry .
From 2000 to 2001, he served as political adviser to the OSCE Mission in Tajikistan .
In 2001, he passed the United Nations Peacebuilding and Preventive Diplomacy Program .
From 2001 to 2003, he was appointed adviser (later - head) of the Iranian department in the Third Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
From 2003 to 2006, he was Deputy Director of the Fourth Department of the CIS Countries of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (he was in charge of Russian-Georgian relations).
From 2006 to 2008, he worked as an adviser-envoy to the Russian Embassy in Afghanistan.
From February to December 2008 - Deputy Director of the Fourth Department of the CIS Ministry of Foreign Affairs (issues of Abkhazia and South Ossetia ).
From October 25, 2008 to March 30, 2018 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia [2] [3] .
Since August 1, 2018 - Director of the Department for Relations with the Subjects of the Federation, the Parliament and public associations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
