Content
History
The newspaper was established in April 1997. The first issue was released on June 11, 1997 under the title "Dobrostroy" in the status of an official regional newspaper [1] [2] . In September 1997, following the results of a readership contest, the newspaper received its current name [2] .
“Belgorod News” since 1998 is an official publication of the government of the Belgorod Region [1] .
“Belgorod Izvestia” is the official publisher of regional regulatory legal acts: laws of the Belgorod Region, decrees of the Belgorod Regional Duma , decrees and orders of the government and the governor of the Belgorod Region , resolutions of the Electoral Commission of the Belgorod Region, industry and departmental documents [1] .
The first chief editor of the publication was in 1997-2008, Fedor Fedorovich Khrustalyov. Then, in 2008-2013, the newspaper was headed by Mikhail Mikhailovich Lysov [6] . Since October 2013, the acting editor-in-chief is Yaroslav Yuryevich Makarov.
Business Analysis
The main activity of the editorial office of “Belgorod Izvestia” is the operational coverage of the most important and outstanding events in the life of the Belgorod region; analysis of the development of the region and its economic, political and socio-cultural processes; implementation of thematic information projects.
In the regional press market Belgorodskie Izvestiya does not occupy the highest positions. According to the results of a survey conducted in 2014, only 8% of respondents read this newspaper, given that 41.67% of respondents do not read local newspapers at all [7] .
Rewards
In 2001, the journalist of Belgorodskiye Izvestia Mikhail Lysov, who received the award in the nomination Efficiency of Publication, became the winner of the Golden Gong contest. [eight]
In the competition for the best coverage of local government elections and the 20th anniversary of the electoral system of the Russian Federation, in which 25 media took part, the Belgorodskiye Izvestia newspaper took an honorable 1st place [9] .
In 2014, in the II regional competition of journalistic works “Cultural Life of the Belgorod Region” in the nomination “Best Publication in the Printed Edition”, Ekaterina Mikhailovna Sharonova, a columnist for the Belgorodskie Izvestia social-political newspaper, and Oksana Viktorovna Pridvoreva, a freelance correspondent for the Belgorodskie newspaper, were included in the list of winners. Izvestia ”, 4th year student of the Faculty of Journalism, Belgorod State University [10] .
On December 11, 2014, BelPressa (online version of the newspaper) won the “Internet Edition of the Year” nomination in the All-Russian contest “Golden Gong - 2014” [8] .
At the VI Moscow International Television Festival “Profession: Journalist”, in the framework of which the I Moscow Festival-Competition “Russian Journalists Sing” was held, one of the winners was Belgorodsky Izvestia correspondent Alexei Stopichev. He received a special prize from the Union of Russian Journalists for his song “We Are Not Allowed for Us ...” [11] .

The founders of the project are: The Government of the Belgorod Region, Belgorod Regional Duma, the Orthodox regional organization " Belgorod and Starooskolsky Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church ", the autonomous non-profit organization "Editorial Board of the newspaper" Belgorod News " [1] [2] .
The newspaper is registered by the Central Black Earth Department of the Federal Service for the Supervision of Legislation in the Field of Mass Communications and the Protection of the Cultural Population, certificate of registration of mass media PI No. FS6-0812 of July 31, 2007 [5] .
