Nikolai Nikolayevich Boyarchikov (born September 27, 1935 ) - ballet dancer and choreographer , chief choreographer of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater. P.I. Tchaikovsky in 1971-1977, the main choreographer, then - the art director of the ballet troupe of the Leningrad Maly Opera and Ballet Theater - St. Petersburg Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.P. Mussorgsky in 1977-2007. People's Artist of the RSFSR (1985) [1] .

Biography
Nikolai Boyarchikov was born in the family of one of the first Russian pilots Nikolai Nikitich Boyarchikov (1893-1943) and teacher of the Leningrad Choreographic School Maria Vladimirovna Boyarchikova (1903-1995). My father died in during the Leningrad blockade and the family was evacuated to Perm , where the boy began to engage in classical dance.
Returning to Leningrad, Nikolai entered the Leningrad Choreographic School , where his teachers were Alexander Bocharov , Igor Belsky [2] , Boris Bruskin and Leonid Petrov . He graduated from college in 1954 in the class of Boris Shavrov and was admitted to the troupe of the Leningrad Maly Opera and Ballet Theater , where he performed mainly characteristic and grotesque parts. Left the scene in 1971 .
He began choreography in 1956, staged dances in dramatic performances, on stage and in films. In 1967 he graduated from the choreography department of the Leningrad Conservatory (teachers Fedor Lopukhov and Igor Belsky ). He made his debut at the Leningrad Maly Opera and Ballet Theater as a choreographer with the production of Veniamin Basner 's ballet Three Musketeers .
In 1971-1977 he was the chief choreographer of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater named after P.I. Tchaikovsky . From 1977 - the main choreographer, and from 1990 to 2007 - the artistic director of the ballet of the Leningrad Maly Opera and Ballet Theater - the St. Petersburg Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.P. Mussorgsky .
Since 1976, she has been conducting the course “The Art of Choreography” at the department “Directing Ballet” of the St. Petersburg Conservatory, (since 2001 professor, in 2001-2008 - head of the department) [3] . Among his students: Georgy Kovtun , Vakhapzhan Salimbaev, Maria Bolshakova, Gennady Sudakov, Olga Likhovskaya and others.
Member of the Commission of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation on choreography [4] .
