Biography
Iskander Khamraev was born in Samarkand, then moved to Leningrad , on Lenfilm in 1961 he shot his first film "Old-Timer", three years later - " Train of Mercy " according to the story of Vera Panova "Sputniks". Among his films the most famous are: “ The Coming Century ,” “The Red Arrow ” (co-authored with I. Sheshukov ), “The Salt of the Earth ”, “The Lawyer ” (“Murder at the Monastery Ponds”). He taught at the St. Petersburg University of Film and Television. Professor, Department of Directing.
He died on October 10, 2009 [2] .
