Lost: Missing Elements

Lost: Missing Elements ( Eng. Lost: Missing Pieces ) are thirteen video clips lasting from one to four minutes, released between the third and fourth seasons of the television series Lost , whose spin-offs are clips [1] . They were available to Verizon Wireless subscribers on Mondays from November 2007 to January 2008 , and uploaded to the ABC website in a week for free online viewing [2] . “Mobisodes”, also called “webisodes,” were filmed in Honolulu , Hawaii , and produced by the same team and with those actors as the television series; thus, all content is considered canonical and is in addition to the series [3] . All 13 videos were included as bonuses for the publication of the fourth season on DVD [4] .

The project was announced in November 2005 under the working title Lost: Video Diaries ; however, production was canceled several times due to contract bans. The screenwriters and producers of Staying Alive originally intended to make the mobisodes a separate story telling of two characters unknown in the fictional universe of the series. These characters were to be played by actors who were not members of the United States Film Actors Guild ; however, other guilds refused to support a similar project. After months of unsuccessful negotiations, the idea seemed to be put on the shelf by ABC. In June 2007, it was announced that the main actors of the series will be involved in the mobisodes, which received a new name - Lost: Missing Pieces and thirteen short video clips will not be connected with each other [5] . Twelve scenes were shot; one clip was a deleted scene from a television series. The critics' reaction to the “Missing Elements” was mixed. Mobisodes were nominated for an Emmy in 2008 .

PC - production code indicating the order in which the mobizodes were shot, different from the one in which they came out and are located on the DVD. All the mobisodes were specially written and shot [3] , with the exception of Envelope, which is a deleted scene from the series “ The Tale of Two Cities ”, which was shot on August 9 and 11, 2006 [6] , a year before the others mobisodes [7] .
