Networked media tank

Networked Media Tank is a software platform developed by Syabas for stationary media players [1] . Under the same brand, some devices built on this platform are distributed.

The platform uses the Linux kernel . Players using the Networked Media Tank are designed to play HD video over the network, either from internal or external drives. Such players also have the functionality of NAS (home network storage), including the ability to independently download files using various network protocols, in particular BitTorrent [2] .

Initially, the platform was developed by the company for use in its own Popcorn Hour HD players [3] . Now the Networked Media Tank platform is used, among others, in eGreat [4] , Digitek HDX [5] , Kaiboer [6] , BBK [7] and Iconbit [8] HD players
