Andorra is located on a territory of 468 km² in the eastern part of the Pyrenees between Spain with the south and France on the north . The country has no access to the sea.

The highest point is Mount Coma Pedrosa [1] (2942 m ) in the west of the country near the border with Spain and France. The lowest point is the confluence of the Valira and Rio-Rouner rivers on the border with Spain in the south (840 m). The average height is 1996 m above sea level .
The country's rivers are mountainous, usually with fast currents and narrow valleys , have sources near the border with France and are usually tributaries of the Valira. Other rivers in the country flow for several kilometers , flowing into the Spanish rivers .
The climate in Andorra is temperate , at the heights - cold . In the Valira Valley, the climate was previously classified as mountain subtropical . [2] At medium altitudes (up to 2000 m), the slopes of the mountains are covered with coniferous and mixed forests , higher are subalpine and alpine meadows . [3] Precipitation falls 1000-2000 mm per year . [2] Andorra belongs to the Iberian ecoregion .
Winter in the mountains is snowy , which allows the development of ski resorts .
