Biography
He was born on May 6, 1918 in the village of Yuryevo, now Sukhinichi district, Kaluga region, in a peasant family . Russian
- 1938 - beginning of service in the Red Army .
- 1941 - completion of the courses of junior lieutenants.
- 1942 - transfer to the front.
- July 6, 1943 - defense of a position on the Kursk Bulge , for which he received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. His battery repelled six enemy attacks, after encircling the battery Georgy Semenovich Sidorov organized a defensive defense, destroyed two tanks and a lot of infantry . At a critical moment in the battle, he fired on himself on the radio, destroyed three tanks and a large number of enemy soldiers.
- 1947 - graduation from the Higher Artillery School.
- 1960 - discharge to the reserve with the rank of lieutenant colonel .
- 1975 - conferment of the military rank “ colonel ”.
After leaving the Armed Forces, he worked as a pumping unit operator at the Kaluga Electromechanical Plant.
He died on February 26, 1990 .
