Antonio Roiti ( Italian: Antonio Roiti , 1843 , Argenta - November 8, 1921 , Rome ) - Italian physicist.

Roiti was educated at the University of Pisa , where he remained an assistant at the Department of Chemistry ( 1866 ) and Physics ( 1868 ). By 1868 he received a doctorate in mathematics, and since 1871 the title of professor of physics and chemistry at the Technical and Maritime Institute in Livorno . From 1879 , he was professor of physics at the Technical Institute in Florence , from 1878 at the University of Palermo , and from 1880 until his death at Istituto di Studii Superiori in Florence. His work, mainly from the field of electricity and electrical measurements: 10 - on x-rays , 8 - on electricity, 5 - on electromagnetism and 2 on acoustics , almost all are collected in the book "Il Nuovo Cimento".
