Content
Story
The film begins with a fight of Glenn Tyler ( Elvis Presley ) with his drunken brother, as a result of which the latter takes serious physical damage. Glenn is convicted, but the court frees him. Glenn moved to a small city to his uncle. Irene Sperry ( Hope Lang ) becomes his psychological adviser by court order. Known as a young man with an indomitable temper, Glenn is falsely suspected of misconduct. Only when the court recognizes Glenn as innocent will he go to the city for admission to the institute and begin his writing career.
If the action develops long and relatively calmly until the middle of the film, by the end the plot quickly turns into a dramatic climax, leading the viewer to tension , because it is difficult to predict how it will end. [one]

Soundtrack
The soundtrack for the film was completed in November 1960 . The soundtrack was recorded at Radio Recorders Studios in Hollywood , California . The soundtrack includes 4 songs with the exception of the songs "Lonely Man" and "Forget Me Never". The title track with the same name of the film Wild in the Country was released as a single in May 1961 (the other side of the single is “ I Feel So Bad ”). "I Slipped, I Stumbled, I Fell" was included in the 1961 album - Something for Everybody . The songs “Forget Me Never” and “In My Way” were included in the 1965 collection of music - Elvis for Everyone . The song "Husky Dusky Day", performed with a duet with remained unreleased until the 1990s .
