Nika (film award, 2008)

The 21st Nika National Cinema Prize Awards Ceremony for 2007 was held on March 21, 2008 at the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army . Nominees were announced at a press conference on February 21, 2008 [1] . Also at the press conference the first winners of special prizes [2] [3] were named.

Prizes were awarded in 20 categories. Most of the statuettes were collected by the film of Sergei Bodrov Sr. " Mongol " (6 awards from 6 nominations). Alexei Popogrebsky ’s film “ Simple Things ” took three prizes, and Nikita Mikhalkov’s picture “ 12 ” won in two categories. [4] [5] [6] . A special prize of the Academy Council “For outstanding contribution to Russian cinema” was posthumously awarded to Alexander Abdulov [2] .
