About participants

Issy

Vocalist of the group. He was addicted to literature, which was significantly reflected in the lyrics. He loved to be the center of attention and often tried on shocking images during shows or photographs. Being conservative, he loved the customs of old Japan, often used the ancient Japanese language in the lyrics.

On July 25, 2011, it was announced that the band’s vocalist had died in his home on the 18th. At the request of the family, the cause of death was not disclosed, and the funeral was closed. Three days before his death, Issy was seen as completely healthy. Since the band disbanded in March 2011, Issy has been working on a solo project, “shiki∞project,” and even completed the first CD, which went on sale in September 2011. On July 28-29, concerts were to be held at the Act Square club, located in the Ebisu quarter in Tokyo, but they turned into evenings in memory of the singer [1] .

Akia

Guitar player. He writes most of the band’s music. Open to all styles of music. Once admitted that he is a big fan of Britney Spears . Such multidirectionality helps him to study all aspects of music.

Sin

Shin seems to say the least during the interview, which is why he is often teased by other band members. He devotes much attention to the technical side in music. He also states that his life is music. He is a fan of the group LUNA SEA .

Nao

Bassist. His bass parts are known in all J-rock communities as one of the most unique and 'busy'. He often talks about his older brother (who taught him how to play bass), and living at home in Hokkaido . He plays 4, 5, and 6-string basses, but most often it is 5-string bass.

Izumi

Shock groups. He is a very capable drummer, and often creates drum parts that hold the whole song. Izumi used to say that he was one of the best in jazz .

Creation History

Nao and Izumi are childhood friends and went to the same school in Hokkaido. Izumi once asked Nao if he would play bass with him and Issi in their group. Sin and Akiya joined later after they had an audition arranged for guitarists, and since then the composition of the group has not changed.

In 2004, Nao, Izumi and Akiya organized a side project called Dragon Head, which was a continuation of the old school band in which Izumi and Nao played at school, inviting Akiya as a guitarist. He became a vocalist. However, the group ceased to exist the day after the release of their first and last single Kono Omoi Todokimasuka. A year later, the band revived under the name Devil Christ 13 and re-released the song, and also shot a video on it.
