Story
Former doorman Frantisek Abel in his small apartment, which he shares with his grandson Pavel, gathers friends on Fridays - single old people living in a nursing home. Their meetings are full of memories, and real life takes place in a world of dreams and fantasies. The old men seem strange to Pavel, almost crazy; he is in love and is going to marry and, since the apartment is cramped for three, he offers his grandfather to move to the same nursing home, where, as he thinks, the old people feel great. But Frantisek Abel is ready to give his grandson all his modest savings in order to keep an apartment for himself - which allows his friends to forget at least temporarily that they live in an “almshouse”.
