Yuri Evgenievich Burak (born March 28, 1970 , Smolensk ) is a cameraman -setter, documentary filmmaker.

Biography
In the early 90's, graduating with a degree in film and video studio director, Yuri worked for various broadcasting companies and news agencies: AP , WTN, Fox News , ABC , ARTE , BBC 2 , Discovery , National Geographic and many others.
In 1997, Yuri Burak founded his own studio for the production of documentaries - Panicfilm - which cultivates a Western school in documentary filmmaking . Yuri travels a lot and makes documentaries of various subjects. He has accounted for more than 500 reports and 50 documentaries and several international television awards.
In 2005, his studio was one of the first in Russia to produce works in the HDTV format. In 2011, the Panicfilm studio began producing films for cinema rental.
Yuri Burak took part in the filming of the documentary Iraqi Odyssey (Iraqi Odyssey) as a director of photography. In 2015, this film was selected as the best film in Switzerland, nominated for an Oscar in the category of best film in a foreign language .
