Biography
Soloviev was born on March 30, 1933 in Leningrad . In 1956 he graduated from the BSU named after V.I. Lenin and entered graduate school. Since 1959 he has been working at the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR , since 1972 he headed the Laboratory of Luminescence (in 1992 [2007 - as part of the Institute of Molecular and Atomic Physics of the NAS of Belarus ). At the same time, he lectured at V. I. Lenin BSU . Now he is the main researcher at the Institute of Physics of the NAS of Belarus .
Among the students of Solovyov there are 5 doctors and 23 candidates of sciences .
Scientific activity
The scientific works of Solovyov are devoted to spectroscopy and luminescence . Based on experimental studies and a group-theoretical approach, he put forward a general interpretation of the electron-vibrational spectra of porphyrins and metalloporphyrins , including biologically important compounds such as chlorophyll and heme . The study of the processes of low-temperature phototautomerization of porphyrins in solid-state matrices, which led to the development of spectroscopy of spectral dip burning, has been widely recognized. A number of works by Solovyov are devoted to the creation and study of new nanostructured materials containing tetrapyrrole molecules and promising for various applications.
Rewards
- State Prize of the BSSR (1980) for the study of the spectral characteristics of chlorophyll-like molecules and their relationship with photochemical processes (together with G.P. Gurinovich )
- USSR State Prize (1986) for a series of works “Photoburning of stable spectral dips and selective spectroscopy of complex molecules” (1972-1984)
