Biography
Founder of the popular The Ring boxing magazine, Net Fleischer, put Hans in first place in his ranking of the best lightweights in history. In 1902, Joe won the world lightweight title by knocking out Frank Erne in the 1st round. He lost his title in 1908 , losing to Oscar “Battling” Nelson by knockout .
In 1910, Hans died of tuberculosis .
Joe Hans was admitted to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990 .
