Biography

Vladimir Lukomsky was born in 1840 . Studied at Kiev University. He defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Observations of certain types of malignant fevers" (St. Petersburg, 1864), was a privat-docent of Kiev University in the departments of dermatology and mycology in 1881-1878.

In addition to articles in the Medical Review and the Military Medical Journal, he wrote "An outline of mycology in connection with the microparasitic theory of the development of parasitic diseases" (St. Petersburg, 1881; 2nd ed., Vilno, 1881).

Vladimir Vikentievich Lukomsky died in 1902 .
