Shahbat ibn Sultan Al Nahyan (or Shahbut ; 1905 - February 11, 1989 ) is the eldest son of Sultan ibn Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler of Abu Dhabi from 1922 to 1926. Shahbat was the ruler of the principality of Abu Dhabi from January 1928 until August 6, 1966 , when he was removed as a result of a bloodless palace coup.
