The sculpture was installed at the Geneva Square of Nations, in front of the main entrance to the Palace of Nations (European headquarters of the United Nations ), in August 1997 . It was assumed that she would remain at this place for three months, before the signing of the international convention banning anti-personnel mines and bomb cassettes . Due to the fact that the signing of this convention was delayed and encountered considerable difficulties, the sculpture remained in place until 2005 , then it was dismantled due to the reconstruction of the square and in 2007 it returned to its former place.
On October 7, 2014, a European art group from Geneva placed a three-meter figure of V. V. Putin under the broken leg of the chair, coinciding with this action on his birthday [1] .
