History
In 1994, the AHL team "Springfield Indians" moved to Worcester ( Mass. ) And became known as "Worcester Ice Cats" (now " Peoria Rivermen "). Former Indians players Bruce Landon (later General Manager of Indians) and Wayne Lashans revived the hockey team in Springfield. The symbol of the new team was the falcon .
The team for the thirteen years of its existence has twice become the leader of the division according to the results of the regular season and six times went into the playoffs.
