Biography

Youth

Born on January 20, 1963 in Vilnius .

The father of actress Petras-Edmundas Dapkunas was a diplomat , and the mother of Ingeborg Dapkunyane (before marriage, Sabalite) was a meteorologist . Parents worked for a long time in Moscow , and her daughter came to them for the holidays. In Vilnius, little Ingeborg remained in the care of her grandparents, as well as aunts and uncles (musicians in the orchestra), who did everything so that she did not feel the long absence of parents. The love of art, according to the actress herself, was instilled in her by her grandmother, who had worked all her life in the opera and ballet theater. [6]

At the age of four, Ingeborg, through the patronage of her grandmother Genovait Sabalene, administrator of the Vilnius Opera and Ballet Theater , first appeared on stage as the son of Madame Butterfly staged by Puccini's opera Chio-Chio-san . After the “opera debut”, dramatic art at first seemed to a little girl not so interesting, due to the lack of dancing, songs and music. In addition, childhood and adolescence were rather focused on a sports career: Ingeborg was engaged in figure skating and basketball, a national sport, not without success. Consisted in the Komsomol .

On the mountain Tauras , not far from the house where Ingeborg lived, there was the Palace of Trade Unions , in which there was a theater studio, where Ingeborg worked for 3 years.

Early career

Immediately after school, Ingeborg enters the Lithuanian Conservatory (faculty of choral and theatrical art, the course of Jonas Vaitkus ). She was also going to enter the Institute of Foreign Languages, but the exams were a month earlier at the conservatory.

After graduating from the Conservatory in 1985, she began working as an actress at the Kaunas Drama Theater , and later at the Youth Theater in Vilnius under the direction of Eymuntas Nakrošius . The film debut of the actress took place in 1984 in the film “ My Little Wife ” by Raimundas Banionis .

In 1991, she began working at the London Theater in the performance The Error of Speech with John Malkovich (dir. Simon Stokes).
