The first system under the brand name "Tekhekspert" was released in 1998. It was intended for specialists in the construction industry and was called "Stroyexpert-Code." In 2005 it was renamed Stroyexpert and became the first system in the line for builders. Now it includes 6 products: the updated Stroyexpert, Stroytekhnolog, Assistant Planner, TPD, Road Construction, Pricing and Estimated Construction. ^[2]

In the future, systems were issued for specialists in other sectors of the economy: heat and power, engineering, gas complex, etc., as well as systems for functional services responsible for labor protection, environmental, industrial and fire safety. ^[3]

Tekhekspert systems include the following types of information:

• Regulatory and technical documentation - GOST , Construction Norms and Regulations, SanPiN, VSN, RD, RDS, SP, GESN, STO, etc., establishing sets of norms, rules, requirements for certain areas of the economy.
• Normative legal acts of various government bodies of the Russian Federation.
• Technological and reference information (typical technological maps, standard projects for the production of works and materials for developing their own projects, forms of construction documentation, definition dictionaries, dispute resolution practice, and much more).
• In addition to the above, some products include materials from conferences and seminars, event calendars, books or periodicals.

A recent development of the company is a regulatory and technical documentation management system. It allows you to create and maintain an electronic database of internal documents of the enterprise in a single space with documents from Tekhekspert funds. Also, users can order international and foreign standards from leading world developers and the development of a personal organization standard based on the translation of foreign documents. ^{[4] [5]}

Tekhekspert systems are aimed at managers and specialists of production departments of enterprises and organizations of all major sectors of the economy: energy, oil and gas, industry, construction, engineering and others. TechExpert is the information service of the committee on technical regulation, standardization and conformity assessment of the RUIE. ^[8]

Tekhekspert conducts activities in the field of technical regulation and standardization ^[9] , one of the results of which is the electronic system “Reform of technical regulation”, which accumulates information on the reform of technical regulation in the Russian Federation.
