Jiahu Writing

Example of "Jiahu Writing"

“Jiahu Writing” ( Chinese р 契 刻 符号 , pinyin : Jiǎhú qìkè fúhào ) is a conditional term referring to 16 inscriptions on prehistoric artifacts found in Jiahu , Henan Province, China . Some scientists date back to about 6600 BC. e. and belong to the Neolithic culture of Paligan . Other scientists are more skeptical.

Some signs of Jiahu resemble modern Chinese characters 目 “eye”, 日 “sun”, but the similarity is deceptive, since modern forms come from ancient prototypes that looked completely different.
