Biography
Nikolai Prokhorov was born in Moscow in 1860. He was educated at the Revel gymnasium, then studied at the law faculty of Moscow University , after which he joined the board of the Prokhorov manufactory, which he headed until the last days of his life. Being a talented manager, he turned this enterprise into one of the most famous and largest in Russia, moreover, at his factory he gradually introduced all the latest technical improvements.
He was also a member of the board of the Moscow-Caucasus Oil Industrial and Commercial Partnership, A.
