Grand Prix of Korea

The Korean Grand Prix ( box 코리아 그랑프리 ) is one of the stages of the Formula 1 World Racing Championship, the first race on the track took place in the 2010 season. After months of rumors, on October 2, 2006 , it was confirmed that the Grand Prix will be held in 2010 , will be held at the Korea International Circuit and will be built from 2007 to the end of 2009 . As a result, the track was inspected only in 2010 a week before the arrival of the teams [1] . The contract was concluded for 7 years with a five-year option, that is, the Grand Prix could take place until the 2021 season [2] . However, the Korean Grand Prix was not already included in the calendar of the 2014 season [3] . The governor of the province of South Cholla , where the race track is located, immediately afterwards expressed his desire to conduct the stage again [4] . The Korean Grand Prix even entered the final version of the calendar in 2015 [5] , but was subsequently excluded [6] during the adjustment.
