Antonio Ciudad Real ( Spanish: Antonio de Ciudad Real ; 1551 , Ciudad Real , Spain - July 5, 1617 , Yucatan , Mexico ) - Spanish Catholic missionary and philologist.

Joined the Franciscan Order at the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes ( Toledo ). He was Secretary of the Commissioner General Alonzo Ponce during that trip to Mexico and compiled a report on this trip. Then he was a provincial of the Order in Yucatan.
For a long time he studied the Mayan language . The result was a six-volume dictionary of this language. In addition, he published sermons and other texts.
