The site was founded by enthusiasts from St. Petersburg under the pseudonyms Pinguin and TAYM. [2] The site opened July 19, 2006 - on the birthday of Vasily Livanov .

On July 24, 2006, the Kultura television channel, in the evening news section Z3 Gruzka, announced the opening of the site 221b.ru [3] . The portal “Cinema of Russia” mistakenly “designated” the site 221b.ru as the official site of the film [4] . The director of the film Igor Maslennikov [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] and other members of the film crew help the site develop answers to questions about the film and archival materials.

- History is a detailed story about making a film.
- Ladies & Gentlemen - biographies of crew members, actors and characters they played.
