After the war, along with the educational process, the role of research work in the academy grew. The academy was staffed by prominent scientists A. A. Blagonravov , N. R. Brilling , N. S. Piskunov , P. A. Rotmistrov and others.

From 1996 to 2008, the Academy trained students under the programs (qualifications) “engineer”, specializing in “multi-purpose tracked and wheeled vehicles”, after graduating from the Academy, a military rank (high school) - “lieutenant” was awarded.
