Career

Vladimir Tsyplakov began his professional career in 1985 as part of the Yaroslavl Torpedo , who played in the First League of the USSR Championship. After the 1986/87 season, in which Torpedo entered the Premier League, Vladimir moved to Dynamo Minsk , where he played for the next 5 seasons, having won the right to participate in the USSR Championship in 1988 . In total, Dynamo played 190 matches with Dynamo, gaining 64 (39 + 25) points, after which he decided to go to North America.

After three seasons spent in the lower leagues, in 1995 in the NHL draft he was selected in round 3 under a total of 59 numbers by the Los Angeles Kings club [2] . As part of the “kings", Vladimir played for four and a half seasons, gaining 138 (56 + 82) points in 265 matches during that time. In the middle of the 1999/00 season, Tsyplakov was exchanged at Buffalo Sabers , where he scored 35 (14 + 21) points in 84 games in a year and a half.

In 2001, Vladimir returned to Russia, signing a contract with Kazan Ak Bars , with whom he became the silver medalist of the Russian championship in the 2001/02 season. As part of the Kazan team, Tsyplakov played until 2004 , having gained 79 (45 + 34) points in 136 matches during this time, after which he moved to CSKA Moscow . As part of the “army team” Vladimir spent the entire 2004/05 season , and he played for the Belarusian club Yunost-Minsk for the last 7 matches in his career.

Coaching

At the beginning of his coaching career, Vladimir Tsyplakov was an assistant coach in the main and youth teams of Belarus, and was also the head coach of the country's junior team. On April 27, 2008, Vladimir entered the Dynamo Minsk coaching staff, who was to take part in the first season of the Continental Hockey League [3] , but after several matches, Tsyplakov was dismissed.

On November 11 of the same year, Vladimir became Wayne Fleming's assistant in Omsk Avangard [4] , however, after three unsuccessful matches, the club management decided to part with a Belarusian specialist [5] . In 2011 , after his sixth world championship as an assistant to the national team, as well as the Winter Universiade , where he headed the Belarusians who reached the finals, Tsyplakov became Dmitry Kvartalnov ’s assistant in Severstal’s Cherepovets [6] .

On December 11 of that year, the leadership of the Cherepovets club decided to return to the position of head coach Alexander Smirnov , who had previously worked in the club for several years, and began the 2011/12 season as the head coach of Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik ; after which Vladimir left his post, but remained to work in the club structure [7] .
