Cupronickel Stanislav Sawicki ( Polish: Melchior Stanisław Sawicki , d. January 4, 1668 ) is a Polish scientist and poet of the 17th century , governor of Brest .

Educated at the Vilnius Academy and the University of the Jesuit Society . He was the Grodno headman, then the Brest cough .
He distinguished himself in the defense of Brest during the Swedish invasion ( 1655 ) and surrendered the city on honorable terms in 1657 . His works: “Cienie żałobne po jasnych promieniach” ( 1643 ) and “Żałoba białych lilij Tryzniańskich” (1643).
His son Karl Pyotr Savitsky (d. In 1733 ), a Jesuit , published Prawdziwe zwierciadło niewinności and Krzywda bez szkody ( 1726 ).
