"Gutin" ( Eng. Guting ; Chinese. 古亭 ) is the interchange hub of the Taipei Metro connecting the Orange and Green lines. Located in the areas of Zhongzheng and Daan. Gutin Station was opened on December 24, 1998 as part of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall - Nanshijiao (Orange Line) section. On November 11, 1999, the Gutin- Xindian (Green Line) section was opened, and the Gutin station turned into a transfer hub. The Green and Orange lines were extensions of the Red line , and a fork movement was organized between them. After the extension of the Orange, Red and Green lines in 2012 , 2013 and 2014 , respectively, the fork movement was eliminated. The Gutin Station of the Orange Line is located between Dongmen and Dingxi Stations, and the Green Line is between Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Taidian Building stations. Red line trains to Gutin station no longer call.
Gutin is a two-tier single-span interchange station. Trains arrive at the upper tier in the direction of Luzhou , Huilong and Songshan stations. Trains arrive at the lower tier in the direction of Xindian and Nanshijiao stations. An automatic platform gate was installed at the station.
