Buildings and Structures
Odd side
- No. 5/13 (along Ryazan Lane ) - a residential building built in 1888 was rebuilt into an administrative building in the 2nd half of the 20th century. At the end of January 2016, it was arbitrarily demolished by the developer despite the decision of the so-called. "Tolerable commission" of the Moscow Government on its conservation. On the territory of the site, by order of Coalco and MR Group , the construction of a residential complex of 60 meters high has begun - despite the fact that the law establishes a height limit of 30 meters in this security zone. The 18-story building will become the architectural dominant of the entire district, ruining the silhouette of nearby streets and blocking the Temple of the Apostles Peter and Paul on New Basmannaya Street , built by personal decree of Emperor Peter I and his drawings.
