Electronic Frontiers Australia

Electronic Frontiers Australia Inc. or abbr. EFA (from the English - “Electronic Frontiers of Australia”) is an Australian non-profit organization representing the interests of Internet users in the field of network rights and freedoms .

The main objectives are:

  • Protecting and promoting the civil rights of users and operators of computerized communication systems such as the Internet.
  • Protection of amendments to laws and regulations in Australia and wherever freedom of speech is restricted.
  • Education of society as a whole on social, political and civil law issues related to the use of computerized communication systems.

EFA was established in 1994. Its founders were inspired by the American Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), but EFA is not an affiliate of EFF. EFA is a founding member of the Global Internet Liberty Campaign .
